update
Build 1.0.3
Build 1.0.3 is out - interface themes and customisation, several fixes, improved build time calculation and maintenance, and additional improvements to the ship summary card.
Every 1.0.2 save, design, gun code, mount code and design file should load fine.
Additions
- The whole interface is themeable: nine presets in three groups, plus a Custom setting
- Annual upkeep is modelled per ship
- Draught and Max Speed are stated as Standard / Full, and a dashed standard waterline is shown on the profile view
- TCG Balance row added, with automatic corrective ballast
- Internal volume and crew space ratings
- Ballistic Efficiency added to the gun designer stats
- Broadside throw weight and belt coverage on the summary card
- Legacy Designs section in the gun and mount libraries
- Permanent delete for a gun or mount design
- Superstructure control-point Add and Delete buttons in the 2D view
- Hoist multi-select
- One cancel for every placement mode - right-click anywhere, or Esc
Fixes
- Wing turrets were blocked by superstructure edges they cleared by several metres; obstruction arcs are measured more honestly now
- Two mounts could stand with their barrels crossing on the same level
- Ghost slots of a broken pair were counted as real mounts
- 3- and 4-shaft ships took a double step in their fuel curves, and endurance was figured at full load rather than mean displacement
- Fixes to the forecastle and quarterdeck deck-break limits
- Legacy mount designs reported optimistic clearance radii
- The weight warning read negative in the over-but-allowed band
- More room for the ship name on the summary card
Balance
- Recalibrated build times across every class
- Brown- and black-powder guns pay a bore sponging phase between rounds
- Magazine growth direction now weights all four edges instead of pinning three
Other
- Warnings and errors reviewed, and rewritten or made less verbose
- Propellant tooltips improved
- Exported summary cards keep the Admiralty look whatever theme you play in, so a shared card is the same document for everyone - this may change
Themes, bugs, or designs you want to show off: the Discord is the place for all three.
