Build 1.3.3
Another hotfix that became more. This one carries various geometry improvements to casemates and funnel trunking, including letting a trunk slide its base within the engine room, within limits.
An improved loading law for lighter rounds narrows the gap between manual and powered loading, and gives a more accurate rate of fire for early light guns.
Deck sponsons are also available as an option for pedestal mounts - and they work away from the deck edge too, for the gun tub look.
There are a number of other fixes, including what is hopefully the final nail in the coffin for the old deck slope bug.
Additions
- Deck sponsons: a pedestal mount can overhang the deck edge on a bracketed platform
- The ship design Load button opens a filtered, sortable library
- New design checks for two funnels in contact if raked
- A ’+’ on the save-slot limits marker when a 1928 campaign has Post-Treaty Yard Growth active
Fixes
- Weights flickered by tens of tonnes on small displacement or dial changes
- Beam figures in feet read whole feet while the metric side read a decimal; both now read to one decimal
- A deckhouse snapped onto another block’s corner or edge could crash the designer
- A raked funnel could lean into masts, mounts and the next funnel
- Casemate openings: various small graphical fixes
- The 3D gun shield did not follow the 2D side profile
- Uptake trunks could swap between two shapes when a room moved a hand’s width; a leaning run could leave the hull through the weather deck ahead of its deckhouse with no error; and a magazine a metre clear of a duct was reported as colliding
- A secondary magazine across the armoured deck’s plate split was warned as unprotected
- A design loaded cold had its deck slope clamped to the blank designer’s cap and its uptake grating floored
- The legacy guns read their technology levels crossed on the roster and on the mount-code import
- The penetration probe traced a raised forecastle’s or quarterdeck’s sides, and the bow’s sheer rise, as air
Balance
- Rate of fire adjusted for lighter guns: the gap between manual and power loading is reduced, and the sponging time is cut for brown-powder fixed and semi-fixed ammunition
- Uptake trunks can slide their base towards their funnel within half the boiler room, so a funnel sitting over its room gets a straight column
- Internal protective space unlocks with the Bulkhead tier (Subdivision TL 11). A saved design holding internal space below it loads with the space set to None, and says so
Sponsons, trunking and the deck slope all moved - if a saved design comes back looking wrong, the Discord is the place.
